Calls have been made for a county wide inspection of all public water mains in Clare, following recent bursts in Ennis and Sixmilebridge.
Thousands were left without water in parts of Ennis last week due to the most recent fault, while flooding occurred in one home in the Kilmurry-Sixmilebrdige area due to an incident there.
Local Councillor John Crowe feels an immediate examination of all water mains is needed to prevent further disruption to the public supply.
