Clare Cruise Past Galway to All Ireland Final

Clare have progressed to the All Ireland Under 21 Hurling final following a twelve point victory over Galway.

Just two points separated the sides at half time with the Banner men leading 0-05 to 0-03.   Cathal “Tots” O’Connell goaled for the defending champions on the restart and from there the Donal Maloney and Gerry O’Connor managed side dominated, finishing with a final score advantage of 1-16 to 0-07.   They will now meet Antrim in the final on September 14th after they pulled a big upset over Leinster champions Wexford in their semi-final.   They held on to win by 2-15 to 1-16, becoming the first Ulster team to reach the final.
