The East Clare 10k Mini-Marathon Raises €16,000 for Irish Cancer Society
The 2011 East Clare 10k follows the innaugural 2009 and our very successful 2010 event held last September. East Clare 2011 is expecting a large entry building on the success of last year. In addition to the Irish Cancer Society the East Clare will this year support the Church Restoration Fund which the Kilkishen Development Association wish to see re-opened as a Cultural Centre.
The event is organised and run by a small committee of local people headed by Pat Neville. The charity benefiting from the 2010 event was the Irish Cancer Society who support cancer research and cancer sufferers throughout the country.
