Kilmurry Community Alert Group Text Alerting Scheme

With an increasing number of break-ins and robberies throughout the country it was only going to be a matter of time before an attempt would be made on a property in Kilmurry.  Within the last two months there were two attempted break-ins, both of which were spoiled by the prompt action of our locals.
To further protect our community we aim to expand the existing mobile text alerting scheme to provide crime prevention information to all within Kilmurry.
A similar scheme is in operation in Ballybeg, Ennis and is proving to be very successful todate.

The scheme will operate in the following way:

If you notice anything or anyone acting suspicious within Kilmurry, ring the Sixmilebridge Garda Station who will take immediate action.
You will then be required to ring (no texting) any one of the three mobile numbers listed below.

Once contact has been made with one of these mobiles a text message with all the relevant information will be sent to all participants. It is important that the person makes contact with one of the three numbers.
The Garda will also relay where possible any relevant information they may have from time to time.
The success of this scheme is dependent on the awareness and vigilance of each person within the community and the speed in which they pass on relevant information.
