Kilmurry National School Building Project Gets Green Light…

As you may be aware, funding has been approved for an extension to our school (Kilmurry National School) and preparations are well underway to make this transition as convenient and safe as possible for all parties concerned.

To raise some funds for the project we have formed a Fundraising Committee to help cover the short fall to complete the project.

The Fundraising Committee comprises of the following members; two members from the Board of Management, two members from the Parents Association and two Community Representatives namely Aoife O’Brien Slater, Julie Quinn, Carmel O’Brien, Olga O’Grady, Alan O’Callaghan and Tom Culbert.

We are acutely mindful of the difficult financial circumstances affecting many people and stress that all monies raised will be used to make our school a better place for all of our children and for those who follow them.

The Fundraising Committee will be organising fundraising events in the next few months, with more proposed for May 2013.  We are determined to make these events as enjoyable as possible for everyone who chooses to support them.

We would like you to make a note of the events in your diaries.

More details will follow nearer the time on www.kilmurry.com or on the kilmurry.com facebook page..

The Fundraising Committee would be grateful of any donation of spot prizes for these events.

Of course we are always keen to hear of any ideas for fundraising events and, if you would like to get involved in helping us reach our target, contact Aoife O’Brien Slater on 086-8051672 or Julie Quinn on 086-8773860.
