Kilmurry National School Principal Moves On…

Jim Curran finished as Principal of Kilmurry National School on Friday last. We had a special school Mass to pray for God’s Blessing on the Staff, Students and Parents, but in a special way to thank God for Jim’s contribution to the school. He came to Kilmurry National School in September 2009. He has made a huge contribution to the development of the school, building on the achievements of the previous principals Joe Brady and Peter Walsh. Each classroom is fully equipped using modern technology as a teaching aid. Jim has displayed wonderful leadership skills at all times. While in Kilmurry there have been many achievements including participation in the Young Scientist Ex-hibition, Excellence in Maths and Science awards and the school has continued to attain Green School Flags. The school has won the Cumann na mBunscol Schools Primary Hurling competition for three years in a row.

Jim is now moving to Knockanean National School and we wish him the best of health and happiness in the future.
