Next Area Gathering will take place on
Tues. July 17th at 7.30 pm
on the Inhis Orga Estate. The Gathering will cover the following areas:
Inis Orga, Oakwood, Lodge Road, Woodview, Chapel Court, O’Garney Heights, Church St.
Representatives from these areas met on Thursday evening with representatives of the Pastoral Council to begin the organisation of the event. Details identified for action are – each house in the above areas will be visited with invitation to the Gathering; his-tory of the areas to be prepared; site indentified for the Gathering, organisation of music, hospitalities, performances, scouts to be con-tacted etc. Already there is every indication that once again this will be an eventful and exciting community event. Gifts will include colours of counties and countries of origin of residents and so the importance of „getting to know‟ one another.
It begins as always, with Mass which will reflect the Area – it‟s people and its history. This is our 20th Area Gathering. They are very special events in our story of building a genuine Christian Community.
All in the wider Community are especially encouraged to attend with the purpose of connecting with people who have made Sixmilebridge their home.
