Crusheen 0-10 v 0-4 Sixmilebridge
Senior Hurling Championship Final @ Cusack Park, Ennis 23/10/11
Our first final appearance in nine years ended in defeat at a soggy and rain infested Cusack Park earlier today. Heavy downpours made the pitch almost unplayable with the surface taking a battering as the game progressed. Indeed match referee Rory Hickey had to throw the ball in on a countless occasions with the ball being plugged in the soft ground. In hindsight this game was crucially decided in a six minute spell early in the second half where Crusheen hit the ‘Bridge for five without reply. It must be said that the physically stronger Crusheen team deserved their win with their back six thwarting the ‘Bridge from getting through for important scores.
