Single point defeat for Clare Minor Camogie side (ClareFM)

The Clare Minor Camogie’s bid to contest the Minor All Ireland ended in defeat in Kilmallock last night, losing to Tipperary by a single point on a scoreline Tipperary 3-9 to Clare’s 1-14.

The Tipp girls got off to a lightning start, with 2-2 on the scoreboard inside the opening 10 minutes to Clare’s 3 points.

Tipp added another 3 points to their tally by the midway point leaving Clare trailing 2-5 to 0-7
at the break.

Both sides traded points at the restart of play before Michela Graham goaled again for Tipp, to leave Clare 7 points down.

A pointed Chloe Morey free followed by a well struck goal from Niki Kaiser had the deficit back to 4 points with 12 mins played in the 2nd half.

Tipp added 2 more points in the 15th & 21st minutes which Clare balanced out with 2 points from Rachel O’Halloran and Morey.

Tipperary’s final score came in the 27th minute ,Clare added 3 more points but ran out of time, leaving the final score Tipperary 3-9 Clare 1-14
