Sixmilebridge are county under 21 ‘A’ hurling champions for the fourteenth time
after a hard fought win over neighbours Clonlara at Cusack Park earlier today.
The ‘Bridge were deserving of their win and this was helped by their powerful
start that yielded 1-6 in reply to 0-3 after fifteen minutes. Clonlara narrowed
the gap to four by the short whistle despite having hit nine wide’s in response
to a solitary ‘Bridge one in this half. That said the eventual winners also had
a few attacks in this half broken down by the Clonlara rear guard.
