John Crowe Calls for Major Water Mains Inspection in Clare. (ClareFM)

Calls have been made for a county wide inspection of all public water mains in Clare, following recent bursts in Ennis and Sixmilebridge.

Thousands were left without water in parts of Ennis last week due to the most recent fault, while flooding occurred in one home in the Kilmurry-Sixmilebrdige area due to an incident there. Read more

National Spring Clean 2012 Day in Kilmurry / SMB

Volunteers Needed for Local Cleanup.

Kilmurry and Sixmilebridge Community Development Association / Tidy Towns in Partnership with Clare County Council will be carrying out a clean up on the Kilmurry to Sixmilebridge road on Saturday 14th April 2012 commencing at 10am from the Community Hall Kilmurry.

As this is a busy stretch of road adult volunteers only required.

If you have a high-viz vest please bring it with you.

There is a water outage in Kilmurry today.
Clare County Council are working on what seems like 2 leaks on the main road from Kilmurry to Sixmilebridge.
There are no indications on when service will be resumed.

Clare County Council wishes to advice water consumers in the areas between Kilmurray and Quin, including those on the Kilkishen and the Ballycar Group Water Scheme that their supply  will be shut off between 10 and 3  today 12/07/11 due to essential works.

Clare County Council apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Knappogue Castle plays host to Clare County Council gathering.

Members of Clare County Council have marked the 90th Anniversary of the truce in the War of Independence with an historic meeting at Knappogue Castle.

Elected members met at the Shannon Heritage site near Quin last evening to commemorate the council meetings held there many years ago.

Meelick Councillor Cathal Crowe, who proposed the meeting, says things have changed a lot since then.
