This Tuesday evening (30-04-13) we have the first of our Area Gatherings for this year.
It is on May Eve and on Pat Meehan’s farm.

The first of the 2013 Area Gatherings will be held on May Eve at Pat Meehan’s Field in Kilmurry.
A meeting will take place on the site on Tuesday 16th at 7pm for all those who would like to help out and get involved in organising the Gathering…
Unfortunately the Area Gathering Mass planned for the 16th of August as part of the Kilmurry Harvest Festival has been postponed.
A new date as yet hasn’t been chosen…

Tues. July 17th at 7.30 pm
on the Inhis Orga Estate. The Gathering will cover the following areas:
Inis Orga, Oakwood, Lodge Road, Woodview, Chapel Court, O’Garney Heights, Church St. Read more
In spite of the weather on Thursday a big crowd gathered in Begley’s Field for our 2nd Area Gathering this year. The rain stayed away until the end of Mass. However even then as the rain came down people stayed having the cup of tea and sandwich and bun and above all having the chat. It was a massive community experience. This was
such a great occasion with so many interesting instruments and to-ries from the past that we will include a bigger piece in next weeks newsletter.

These gatherings have become a very significant part of Community Building in our Parish over the last number of years. Read more
Bad weather failed to dampen the Open Air Mass at Sixmilebrige Mart last night.
A full gallery attended the mass which was celebrated by Fr. Harry Bohan with the Kilmurry Choir on hand to provide hymns and music.
Celi Music and dance was provided by locals to the enjoyment of all who attended.
A big thanks goes to those who prepared and served the refreshments.
Much appreciated on a cold evening.

Mass starts at 7.00pm with music to follow.
And maybe stay and enjoy a cuppa with friends and neighbours.
